What are the essentials to know for a guitarist/worshipers?

To all my beloved brothers and sisters,

A question was post by someone, and this is wad my friend replied. As worshipers, i very agree to what he wrote and i wanted to share with everyone.
I believe it is not only for guitarist but all worshipers(not just musicians) in the worship team.

Lastly, we are not just musicians, but more relational and personal. To God and to one another. True isnt it?
If not just hired outsiders to play music every week liao. =p

What are the essentials to know for a guitarist/worshipers?

Spiritual aspect:
1) Keeping in tune in the spirit
2) mediate on the word
3) pray unceasingly

allowing the spirit to move within and use the word of God to based the worship (reasons to worship, ministry unto God and each other) and pray thru worship and word in our hearts.

Practical aspect:
1) keep ur guitar in tune before starting
2) practice before cell /service
3) maintain a good worship life - what u do at home (in ur secret place with God) should be translated into worship in cell, etc. inward to outward expression
4) pray unceasingly, lead a devotional life and be conscious of our surroundings.
5) look at the worship leader's signals
6) use simple chords/chord sheets
7) be prepared for transpose, last min changes, etc.
